Ive just completed one full year back at work, and Ive gone the whole time without blogging. Mostly Ive been too busy. Sometimes, Ive been too miserable. Sometimes still, Ive been too excited and happy. Now its time to look for a new opportunity as we should so vaguely state at job interviews. Its also time to sign up for another damn marathon in the hopes that Ill stay injury-free this time.

What is a doula? A doula provides non-clinical emotional, physical, and informational support to pregnant women and their families before, during, and after birth. A doula helps the mother labor and birth her baby as efficiently and as comfortably as possible while minimizing distractions or disruptions. She respects their special relationship. She is a source of confidence when the parents are tired or discouraged. A doula provides physical support.
